Project Manager / Owner / Director

As a carpenter with over 13 years of experience in the industry, jumping further into the development industry has been a delight.

I’m fortunate to have strong local connections and a deep understanding of Tasmanian materials and regulations. Since launching 40|43 in December 2023, my focus has been on providing a personal and approachable experience for every client. My promise is simple: to deliver exceptional house and land packages that not only meet but exceed expectations.

Having grown up in Northern Tasmania, I have a real appreciation for the way we live here on the North-West Coast and the value of doing business locally. I love the familiarity of a smaller community. People know one another, support each other’s businesses and take pride in where they live. There’s something really special about being able to build a business in the same community we call home.

At 40|43, I believe in offering honest advice and staying closely connected to the Tasmanian community. We aim to support local growth by creating opportunities for homebuyers and real estate investors to succeed. I take great pride in our region's potential and am optimistic about its future.

Sam and I work alongside one another, across the design, planning and day-to-day running of the business.

As Sam likes to put it, “I take the cream!”

I get to focus on a lot of the creative side of our developments - refining floor plans and making selections for fixtures, finishes, colours and the overall look and feel of each project. I also look after general administration, future planning and plenty of the behind-the-scenes work that keeps things moving. Plus, of course, signing the many important dotted lines that come with running a development business!

My background began in legal administration, where I worked predominantly across commercial and conveyancing for around seven years. From there, I moved into building surveying administration while also helping Sam establish our family construction business, Platinum Pro Construction. After becoming a mum, my priorities shifted and I stepped back from the construction side of the business to focus on raising our family, while continuing to work alongside Sam to grow 40|43.

For me, it’s not just about building houses. It’s about creating homes that feel considered, functional and timeless. I don’t want our developments to feel cookie-cutter. I love looking at the details, how a floor plan works, how a home will actually be lived in, and how all the finishes and selections come together to create something that feels cohesive.

As 40|43 grows, I want us to remain grounded in those values. I’d love for the 40|43 name to be associated with trust, quality and integrity, and for people to know there are real people and a local family behind what we do.

I also hope our journey inspires others, particularly younger people growing up in regional Tasmania, to believe that you don’t have to leave a small town to build something meaningful. If our story encourages even one person to back themselves and chase a big dream from a small community, I’d consider that a success.
